that was a good drum break...

Yeah, so I really don't like football anyway. Never has been my game, even when I tried to really enjoy it, my mind would always wander to something else. I should really watch it at 10 PM every night, because without fail it always puts me to sleep. So I don't really care if I see the Super Bowl tonight, although I might try to tune in for a while. Who knows. But obviously with us not even knowing that it was today until we saw an advertisement on the computer...well that shows how the days run together here. And they have, especially with the routines of eating, swimming, nap time, bed time, bath time, etc. I have no real meter as to measure the days at all. I just wish that every day was a work day so that our paperwork would get moving.

So Janine and Shirley are at the pool again. I had to carry the boys up here for a nap, Juan thrashing around and screaming the whole time, get them changed, stripped down, and put to bed for a nap. Andres really doesn't seem to mind, as he has gone quietly the last few times, but Juan...oh, man, that kid hates to nap, although he is the one who is usually more tired. They had a good time at the pool today, though, as we saw some friends we made a few days ago when we went to the park (the Colombian woman who teaches English, her two children, her husband, and extended family). Her father (I already forgot his name) studied journalism at Boston University, so he enjoyed talking with us, practicing his English, and making conversation with the kids. Their whole family is very nice, and in a little way has seemed to take us under their wing while we are here (they invited us to share their shade, as it was HOT today). We most likely will see them again, although it will probably be next weekend.

After breakfast this morning we were able to let the kids run around in the dance hall (I guess that is what it is) for a while. It is fun to see the boys running around, as they are not yet overly coordinated. They had a blast just tooling around and playing with Shirley. She is very mindful of both of them and tries to be equal with kisses and time spent. She has been a big help with the boys. She and I were in the deep end of the pool today, although she never really gets away from the edge. Andres sticks on me like a leech ever since he got bumped by his sister and drank some of the pool water a couple days ago. I can almost distract him enough so that he will be on his own, but as soon as he realizes that I am not holding him he howls like crazy. It would be more fun for me if I could move him around, but even if I hold him tight and move him he screams. So I stand there with him, beckoned by Shirley to "look, look" all the time. It is fun to watch them have fun, though, and to see her showing off. Hopefully Andres will let go of my neck in the pool before we leave here, but I doubt it. Maybe Shirley will trust either Mami or Papi enough to let go of the concrete side in the deep end and try to swim...maybe. We'll see.

Well, just thought I would touch base. I hope all is well. Keep us posted with what is going on, as I don't really hear much these days. Hasta luego...
